I can scarcely believe I’ve spent two weeks in Barcelona. Looking back, everything seems to have gone by so fast. I still remember waking up at 3:45 a.m. to catch my flight from Salzburg. Just a few hours after landing, I was already at the AC Hotel Sants for my first day. Thankfully, I didn’t have to start working right away. On Sunday morning, the day didn’t start with packing but with me coming down with an ear infection. I went straight to the doctor and he prescribed me antibiotics, which I hoped would kick in quickly. In the afternoon, I had such a high fever that I could barely move. Last week, Hannah and I flew to Barcelona with our boyfriends. We were so excited to finally start our adventure. On Tuesday, we watched the football match between Spain and France. Spain won 2–0, and everyone in Málaga was very excited. After the match, many people went out into the streets to celebrate. The last few days of our internship in Málaga have been a nice mix of work, free time, and new experiences. On July 13, we had a relaxed day at work. We started with a team meeting to talk about our tasks and finished the day with another meeting to talk about what we had done. One thing we really like is that we can plan our work and breaks in a way that is best for us. This makes work easy and enjoyable. On July 14, we finished our work and then went straight to the beach.

I have now been living in Dublin for a week, and I am really enjoying my Erasmus+ experience so far. One funny thing about my accommodation is that everyone in my shared flat is from the same vocational school in Stuttgart. Because of that, it sometimes doesn’t even feel like I’m living in Ireland!
