One of the nicest parts of my time in Barcelona has been spending time with the girls we originally met back in April through the Erasmus+ project. We had already got to know them a few months ago, and meeting them again during my stay here felt familiar and easy. They showed us different parts of the city, took us to places they liked, and helped us discover corners of Barcelona that I probably wouldn’t have found on my own. Being with them made the city feel even more welcoming. We enjoyed every moment with them, and those days added something really special to my experience here.
In my final week, my best friend came to visit me, and having her here made these last days truly meaningful. We spent a lot of time walking through the city, revisiting places I had already seen, and discovering new ones together. Experiencing everything with her felt different, calmer, and somehow even more memorable. We talked a lot, enjoyed the warm evenings, and made the most of every day.
We also took a small trip outside Barcelona to Blanes, where we visited the botanical garden overlooking the coastline. The view from up there was beautiful, with the sea stretching out below us and the paths winding through quiet, green spaces. Blanes had a peaceful atmosphere, and it was nice to spend a day somewhere that felt a bit removed from the busy city. After exploring the entire garden, we walked down to a small bay nearby and spent the rest of the day there. The beach was completely different from the ones in Barcelona, much calmer and more natural, with clear water and small stones instead of sand. It felt peaceful and a bit hidden, almost like a place you would only find if you knew exactly where to go. We stayed there for hours, relaxed, talked, and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Ending the day in that little bay made our trip to Blanes feel even more special.
Sharing all of this with her made my last week feel complete. These days were a perfect way to end my Erasmus+ experience, full of small moments, new places, and time spent with someone who means a lot to me. Even though my stay in Barcelona is coming to an end, I’m grateful for everything I’ve experienced here and for the memories that will stay with me long after I leave.
