Julia P: Goodbye Lisbon!

Hello everyone!
It still feels a bit unreal that I am already on my way home. Right now, I am sitting on the plane, watching Lisbon slowly disappear beneath me as I write this final blog post.
We spent our last two weeks enjoying the city and also the parks, beaches and places around our home. I explored also areas outside of the city to get to know the surroundings.
One weekend, my brother and father came to visit me, and I spent three days with them. I showed them around Lisbon and we also did a Segway tour together which was really cool. On Saturday we made a day trip to explore the city of Sintra where you can see beautiful castles and palaces. Afterwards we spent the afternoon relaxing on the beach in Cascais and exploring it a little.
It was a great weekend and I really enjoyed showing my family the life that I have here in Lisbon and sharing the experience with them.
Our internship has come to an end, and leaving work was a little sad. We will definitely miss our colleagues, with whom we had a lot of fun and good moments, as well as the Segway tours and talking to the different customers . During the third and fourth weeks, we also did some advertising tasks in addition to the tours and we helped a little more with work in the shop itself.
On Thursday, we had our final meeting with our agency, where we completed the last paperwork and confirmations. We said goodbye to Teresa, our lady from the agency and then we were ready to go home.
Overall, the experience was so valuable, and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to take part in this Erasmus internship.
Even though I am looking forward to being back home, I will forever have unforgettable memories about my time here!
