Five weeks. That sounds like a long time, but somehow it feels like I just arrived in Barcelona. I'm writing this blog as we're waiting at our gate, and I can't comprehend that it's suddenly over. But even our journey back was a bit of an adventure. On our way to the gate we met Farid Bang. Definitely not how I expected the trip to end.
Looking back, this trip was so much more than just a school internship. I met new people, tried things I had never done before, improved my language skills and became more independent. Most importantly, I made memories that I'll probably be talking about for a long time. But I'll also be taking a lot of luggage and some bruises from our crazy sofa ride on the water, which truly was crazy but we all managed to hold on.
This week we finally got to taste traditional paella, which was good but not our favourite meal in Barcelona. We spent a lot of time at the beach, which was definitely one of the best things about being in Barcelona. But we also used our last days to revisit some of our favourite places in the city and see the famous sights, like the Sagrada Família, Park Güell or the Bunkers del Carmel, one more time.
Five weeks, way too many photos,, countless memories and definitely a lot of reasons to come back.
¡Hasta luego, Barcelona!
