Sebastian: Semana 2 en Barcelona

My second week in Barcelona has been full of new experiences, both at work and during my free time. The highlight of the weekend was definitely going out for hot pot with some classmates from 4AK. It was an amazing evening filled with laughter and great food - but we all felt pregnant afterwards. My parents surprised me and visited me for 4 days and we went to a lot of traditional Spanish restaurants. It was just amazing tasting the real flavor of an original Paella or Tapas.

Work continues to be exciting and challenging. I’ve been given a lot of responsibility, especially handling check-ins and check-outs. It’s a great feeling to be trusted with important tasks and to gain experience in hospitality. After work, I usually grab a delicious Empanadilla and either head up to our rooftop pool or down to the beach for a swim. It’s the perfect way to relax after a busy day. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t great last week. There were some cloudy days, and on Saturday, we even received an official warning about potential flooding. It didn’t affect us directly, but it was a reminder of how quickly things can change.
