Julia S: I never thought getting a bus ticket could be this hard

Before that happened, I got suspected of being a drug dealer at the airport :) Turns out my card games contained a material “similar” to drugs, which was why the scanner was triggered.
When we finally arrived in Malta, we should have done something very essential: buy a one-week bus ticket. The reason we didn’t do that was because we thought we could do it online too. Wrong. The bus driver told us that buying this card is only possible at the airport or at bookstores. Taking the bus here can get quite expensive, especially when you have to buy a ticket every time you get on. For reference, a two-hour ticket costs €2.50.
So our mission was to make transport cheaper. Therefore, we had two options: buy a one-week bus ticket four times, which would total €100, or buy THE public transport card, which costs €30 and can be used for an unlimited time. To do so, you have to request it online, give them all your data, and they send it to you within 10 to 14 days. Well, trying to give them my data was one of the hardest things I have ever done. The main problem was uploading a picture of my face and my passport, which must not exceed 2 MB. I tried HARD: cropping, taking screenshots — I even downloaded an app, but nothing worked. 37 tries and 5 outbursts later, I sent the link with all the information to my dad to let him try and guess what — he managed to order the card within 10 minutes.
