Amelie K: Paint, Party & Podium - Week 3

¡Hola a todos!

This week was another exciting one. After work, we usually went for a walk or did a bit of shopping. One highlight was an evening at a rooftop bar with the others. The view was really beautiful; you could see the city and the sea from above. We enjoyed the evening with good drinks and relaxed house music. After a week's break because of my cold, I was ready to hit the Barcelona nightlife again this weekend, which is great fun with our large group.

On Saturday, Rui, Flo and I went pottery painting in the late afternoon. It was something different, we talked a lot while we painted and were able to be creative, which was a nice change from office work.

At the end of the third week, we (my Airbnb) went go-karting with Maria and Basti. That was my favourite activity so far. After a warm-up and qualifying, we got into the actual race and it got really exciting. The result was a bit surprising; I didn't think I would come first, Maria second and Basti third. I was happy, of course, but one person (Zlatan) wasn't quite so thrilled. He had already mentally reserved first place for himself. 😊 Oops!

Did the whole thing become a topic of discussion? Yes. He then considered what could have been the reason, until he came up with a weight difference as the cause. With a gap of 0.739 seconds and two places between them, that sounds more like an excuse to me.

Because we enjoyed it so much, we spontaneously booked an extra 7 minutes. After a two-hour drive home, we arrived safely and thus ended the third week.
