Hello friends!
The last time I start with the question: How are you? Because for me it goes back home now and I really have to resist the urge to cry. I will miss so many things here, especially the little children, who I have really taken to my heart. We even took some really cute group pictures at the end.
What I wanted to tell you important today is that my previous opinion regarding other countries has strengthened quite a bit. I have always been a very open-minded person and have been extremely interested in other cultures. Through this great Erasmus+ trip I have learned that on every side of the world there will always be a door open to enter and learn something new. The only thing that matters is that we actually WANT it. With the communication I have struggled sometimes, because I do not speak Portuguese, but come on: through so much positive, this small negative point was hardly noticed.
Another important point is, by leaving the comforts of home to immerse yourself in an entirely new culture, you will be pushing the boundaries of what you are capable of. Some even say that the travel and life experience acquired through internships abroad is even more important than the professional experience.
Anyway, I don't want to beat around the bush, but I do want to mention that you all should definitely take advantage of this, as it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Moreover, you can kill two birds with one stone; traveling and internships are two things that many students aspire to cross from their checklist before entering into the professional world. And through Erasmus+ you can easily combine these two things and still have a lot of free time left to try out great activities.
In conclusion, I can only tell you to take it seriously and never stop pursuing your dreams. Because a few years ago, I wouldn't have believed that one day I would do an internship in Portugal.
So I hope you enjoyed my blog posts and I wish you all a great summer.
Nunca esquecerei este grande momento e fá-lo-ia de novo e de novo!
Merisa
