Maxi: My first week in Barcelona🇪🇸

¡Hola a todos! It’s hard to believe we’ve already been in Barcelona for a week. The first couple of days were quite busy because we had to sort out some problems with our rooms at the student residence, but we still enjoyed the first days together in Spain.

On Sunday, our first proper day here, we finally made it to the beach. It was the perfect way to settle into the warm weather and get into a holiday mood. The sea was amazingly clear and felt just right. We enjoyed it so much that Maria and I ended up with a sunburn. 🫠

After meeting with the agency on Monday, I started my internship at a law firm, which is so cool. My tasks include translating contracts and working on some things in Excel. I only work 4 hours a day, so it’s not stressful at all.

The law firm is run by a German-Spanish lawyer, so many of my colleagues speak German, which is really convenient. Still, the boss likes to talk with me in Spanish, so at least I’m improving my Spanish a little bit. Everyone there is so friendly and kind. I like working there.

I’m really excited for the next week, which is full of plans. I’ll share more about that in my next blog post.
