Since my last blog on Saturday Daniela and I have done a lot of things. We were in Viareggio and enjoyed a day on the seaside, we ate some typical Florentinian Ribeye Steak, I visited Boboli Gardens (a very beautiful park in the city centre of Florence) and of course we also had our first week at work.
At "Hu Firenze Camping in Town" everybody is very friendly and helpful, what makes the work quite enjoyable. During our first week Daniela and I had the same shifts (from Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 2pm), so that the employees didn't have to explain everything two times and that Daniela could help me when I could not understand something in Italian (she lived in Italy for eight years). Now, during our second week one of us works from 9am to 2pm and one of us from 3pm to 8pm. We change the shifts every day.
During our day in the info point we give information to the campers about the monuments in Florence, about the public transport, the shuttles to the center and much more. We also help at the Reception sometimes.
All in all, I can say that the work is really fun and Florence a must-visit city!
A presto,
Kathi
