Another week in Florence is over! Work is going well, and the days are flying by. The city is still beautiful and full of life. Every day I discover something new – even just walking through the same streets feels a bit different each time.
One evening, we went to Piazzale Michelangelo, a famous viewpoint above the city. The view up there was amazing. You could see all of Florence, with the river and the Duomo in the middle. We went around sunset, and the light made everything look magical.
The best part of the week was definitely our day trip to Rome. We got up early, grabbed a quick coffee and croissants, and caught the high-speed train. Everything went super smoothly, and we were in Rome in no time.
First, we visited the Colosseum, which was so impressive to see in real life. Then we had some delicious Neapolitan-style pizza nearby before continuing our tour. We didn’t waste much time and went straight to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. There were lots of people, but it was still worth seeing.
After that, we made our way to Vatican City. We even went inside St. Peter’s Basilica, which was absolutely beautiful. The size, the calm, the atmosphere – it was really something special.
At the end of the day, we were a bit tired, but in a good way. The train ride back to Florence was fast and easy again.
It’s crazy how much you can experience in just one week – so many moments, places, and memories. I’m starting to feel really lucky to be here. This whole trip is going by fast, but it’s been so worth it.
Can’t wait to see what’s next!
