Ciao ragazzi!
There is only one week left in Florence and I have to say that the third week was the best one so far. My free days were on Friday and Saturday, which was perfect for me since I hate Sundays and having the whole day on Friday instead of Sunday seemed better for me.
I visited some more food spots this week that I really wanted to try and also some new parts of the city. On Friday it was really relaxing to go for a walk in the Giardini Boboli and in the evening we went into the city by bike and climbed a lot of stairs to the Piazza Michelangelo, where we could see a really beautiful sunset.
I managed it very well to live on my own for the first time but this week also challenged me a bit because we had washing machine that overflowed the bathroom with water and we also had the electricity failing like three times in a row (we didn’t know what to do and were too scared to go into the cellar).
The best thing, though, was our day trip to Rome on Saturday. The train journey there took only 1.5 hours, and we spent the whole day seeing the most important sights. A few days before, I planned our route with a colleague from work so we wouldn't miss anything. First stop was the Colosseum of course but we went on to the Piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna and of course the St. Peter’s Duomo. The food in Rome was delicious, too.
I'm ready to start the last week tomorrow and tell you all about it. A presto!
