During the first week of my Erasmus+ internship in Crete, I was immediately struck by the charm of Heraklion and the friendliness of its people. Working at a honey company, I focused on finding business partners in Germany and Austria. I am lucky that I have a lot of time to explore the different beaches, beach cafes and restaurants around Heraklion and Ammoudara. My favorites were the gyros and grilled octopus at a seaside local restaurant.
