I can hardly believe that we are already in our third week here in Malta. Time flies when you’re surrounded by beautiful scenery, kind people, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes every day feel like a little holiday.
This week brought an unexpected adventure: for one evening, we suddenly found ourselves without any electricity. At first, we weren’t quite sure how to handle it, but our host kindly brought us candles, so at least we didn’t have to sit in complete darkness.
In the end, it turned into a surprisingly memorable evening. We sat together, talked for hours, and enjoyed the peaceful candlelight. It felt a bit like indoor camping and reminded us how much we take modern comforts for granted.
Since we enjoyed Valletta so much during our first visit, we decided to return this week. We spent the evening exploring a few bars and happened to meet some really nice people, including a group of Irish tourists. It was great fun to chat with them and exchange stories – moments like these make travelling so special.
At the dog shelter, everything went really well again this week. We welcomed another puppy, who is unfortunately still very young, but it’s comforting to know that we can give him the care he needs and help him get a better start in life.
I’m truly looking forward to my final days here and I’m curious to see what other unexpected moments Malta has in store for me.
