Hola!
Even though week 3 isn’t completely over yet, I already have a lot to share — because this week has been quite special.
My parents came to visit me in Barcelona, which was really lovely. I had been looking forward to seeing them, and it was nice to show them a bit of my life here. One evening, they invited me, Rosa and Vanessa to a flamenco show — something I had never seen before. It was so interesting to experience this traditional Spanish art form up close. The dancing, the music, the rhythm — everything was intense and very different from anything I’ve experienced before.
After the show, we went to a beautiful restaurant, where we were able to try paella — a classic Spanish dish. It was a perfect evening with good food, great atmosphere, and lots of laughter.
The next day, I joined my parents for a guided tour through Park Güell. Learning about the life and work of Antoni Gaudí was really fascinating. His unique style, the colorful mosaics, and the creative architecture made a big impression on me. The whole park was absolutely beautiful — although there were quite a few tourists, it was definitely worth the visit!
Besides spending time with my parents, something else really special happened: we met up with friends from back home in Mondsee! We hadn’t seen each other in quite a while, so we spent a few hours at the beach, just talking and catching up on everything. It felt so good to reconnect and enjoy a relaxed evening together.
As if that wasn’t already perfect, the evening ended with something magical: the moon rose, and it was an incredible deep orange color. Watching it shine over the sea made the whole day feel like a scene from a movie.
All in all, it’s been a week full of special moments, beautiful experiences, and lots of good energy — and it’s not even over yet. I’m so grateful for this time and the people I get to share it with.
Hasta la próxima semana!
