I can't believe how fast the time went by! Our last week in Barcelona felt like a blink of an eye. It was a bit strange – we did so many things, but still felt like we hadn’t seen everything yet.
We went out every day, visited famous places, and just enjoyed life. One of the best moments for me was visiting the Barça Museum. I'm a huge FC Barcelona fan, so it was a dream come true! It was so beautiful – I honestly could have stayed there all day.
We also went to Casa Batlló, a building by Antonio Gaudí, and it was incredibly beautiful and special. Another highlight was our visit to Badalona, a nice district near the sea. It had a calm and local vibe – perfect for a relaxing walk.
In the evenings, we spent our time at the beach, enjoying the last sunsets, talking, and just being together.
The last workday was also very emotional. Sadly, the American colleagues had already left, but our boss gave us a warm goodbye with coffee, donuts, and a farewell speech. It felt really special.
I can honestly say: this month in Barcelona was 100% worth it. It was an amazing experience to live and work outside of Austria, meet new people, learn about a new culture, improve my Spanish, and spend time with friends.
Barcelona, you stole my heart – but don’t worry, I’ll come back for it someday!
