This third week in Lisbon began as usual with work at LBT. I continued to lead and to support engaging tours through the city and handle logistics, ensuring every bike was in perfect condition.
In my free time, I've been exploring more of what Lisbon has to offer. On Monday, I visited Pink Street, a vibrant area known for its nightlife, with its bright pink pavement and lively bars and clubs. The energy there was infectious, and it was a great way to start the week. You're highly mistaken if you believe that Mondays are a slow day there…
I also had the opportunity to witness Lisbon Breakers, a well-known breakdancing group, perform live on the street one evening. The Lisbon Breakers are an energetic and talented dance group specializing in breakdancing and hip-hop. Known for their dynamic performances, they bring a unique flair to the Lisbon dance scene. The group often performs at local events, festivals, and competitions, captivating audiences with their impressive moves and synchronized routines. The ambitious dance group caught the whole street with their Performance.
On Friday, I went out to Bairro Alto for dinner with a new friend I met here. We enjoyed a delicious meal in one of the district’s many charming restaurants, and afterwards, we took a relaxing walk along the Tejo River, which is the longest river in the Iberian Peninsula and offers stunning views, especially at night.
The highlight of my weekend was a trip to Cascais, a coastal town just 40 minutes of Lisbon. I spent the day swimming in the sea and soaking up the sun on the beautiful beaches. The clear, blue waters were refreshing and made for a perfect weekend getaway.
From improving my skills at Lisbon Bike Tours to exploring the city's nightlife and beautiful beaches, each day has brought something exciting. I’m looking forward to what next week has in store, hoping for more adventures, new friendships. Lisbon keeps surprising and delighting me, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
