Stefan R: Week Two in Barcelona – Parties, BJJ, and Hidden Gems

My second week in Barcelona was even more exciting than the first. I started exploring the city’s nightlife and went out partying a few times. The atmosphere was amazing – good music, friendly people, and lots of energy.

One of the highlights was signing up for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The gym I found was super professional, with experienced coaches and a great atmosphere. Training there gave me structure and made me feel more connected to the city.

I also started meeting more people – both locals and travelers. Whether it was through BJJ, nightlife, or just casual chats at the beach, I felt like I was slowly becoming part of the rhythm of Barcelona.

Speaking of the beach, I kept up with my calisthenics training right on the sand. Nothing beats working out with the sound of waves in the background.

One peaceful and spiritual moment was visiting the Serbian Orthodox Church. It felt grounding and familiar, even in a different country.

Another unforgettable experience was hiking up to the Bunkers del Carmel. The view over the entire city was breathtaking – especially at sunset.

Week two was full of contrast: intense training, wild nights, calm moments, and epic views. Barcelona keeps surprising me.
