Stefan R: Week Three in Barcelona – A Setback and a Slow Comeback

My third week in Barcelona didn’t start the way I hoped. I developed a pretty bad infection on my leg, probably from all the physical activity and maybe a small cut I didn’t notice. It got worse quickly, and I had no choice but to go to the hospital.
Thankfully, the doctor was helpful and prescribed antibiotics right away. It was a wake-up call to slow down a bit and take care of my body.
While I was recovering, I tried to make the most of my time. I started cooking at home, which was actually fun and a nice change from eating out every day. I also went on slow walks around the neighborhood to stay active without overdoing it.
As my leg started to heal, things picked up again. One of the highlights was going go-karting – fast, loud, and full of adrenaline. Later that week, we also chilled in a shisha bar, which was a nice way to relax and enjoy the evening vibes of the city.
This week reminded me that even when plans change, there’s still a lot to enjoy – just at a different pace.
