Last week, I flew from Salzburg to Barcelona, and the experience was smoother than I expected. The flight itself was great – calm, comfortable, and on time. The view from above as we approached the Mediterranean coast was absolutely stunning.
Upon landing in Barcelona, however, things got a little more intense. The journey from the airport to my AirBnb turned out to be quite exhausting. With the summer heat, my suitcase, and a few confusing metro lines, I arrived tired but excited.
But all the effort was worth it – I was positively surprised by the apartment. It was clean, modern, and had a small balcony with a beautiful street view. A perfect place to start my adventure in this vibrant city.
The first few days, I didn’t cook at all. I explored local restaurants and tapas bars instead, trying everything from patatas bravas to fresh seafood. Each meal felt like a small celebration.
I also made time to visit the beach – warm sand, cool waves, and lots of sun. Besides that, I spent hours wandering around the city, discovering Gaudí’s architecture, cozy alleys, and lively plazas.
Barcelona already feels special – and this is just the beginning.
