Sebastian: Semana 3 en Barcelona

The third week in Barcelona was a nice mix of routine and small adventures. During the weekdays, everyone in our apartment focused on work. In the afternoons, we often went to the pool or headed to the beach to relax and enjoy the summer weather.

On Friday, we went out to party, although sadly without Maxi and Lena, who had to stay home due to illness. In the end, they didn’t really miss anything special, it was a rather average night.

Saturday was another beach day, just enjoying the sun and relaxing. Then on Sunday morning, Lena and I went into the old town to look for some souvenirs. After that, we made our way up Montjuïc, where we had an amazing view over the entire city. It was definitely one of the highlights of the week.

In the evening, we went Go-Karting with the 4AK participants. It turned out to be more competitive than expected, because the girls absolutely smoked us. Amelie came in first, Maria took second place, and I only managed to finish third. At least I was the fastest guy out of the five of the boys.

After karting, we had to wait over 40 minutes for a bus that was supposed to run every 20min. It never showed up, so we eventually took another one to the airport and from there made our way back into the city. Unfortunately the whole trip home ended up taking two and a half hours.
