Hello everyone and welcome to my final blog post as my one-month stay in Barcelona is ending now.
We have been trying to get as many things done as possible in the last week and I think we did a pretty good job at that. I basically saw and tried various things every day.
The last week started off with me finally seeing the Sagrada Familia (make sure to book like two weeks in advance or you won‘t be able to visit) and it was actually the most gorgeous and gigantic building I have ever seen in my life. You should definitely plan a visit and see it with your own eyes!!
Now the highlight no.1: we went partying during the week and got a VIP table as well. It was the best club yet and the music was very international as well, so I think everybody had a great night and nobody regretted it even though the next day at work was a bit hard. 😅
Highlight no.2 of the week was the summer party at work on Friday evening. It was our last day at work and we didn‘t do much neither this week at work but as the partners would go on holiday soon they threw a summer party at 9pm at a restaurant. We had a two-course menu and it was also the best food we have eaten the whole month. On that evening we actually talked a lot in Spanish with them but also talked about a ton of other things which we didn‘t get to in the office. After the restaurant closed they decided to move forward into a bar with live piano music so we just followed without much thought. But it ended up being such a fun night out with them and I wished this party would have happened at the beginning of the month as it was such an ice breaker for us…
Well and on the last weekend we spent some time at the beach and went to one of the top 10 clubs in the world. We were a bit unlucky as the music wasn‘t that fire on Saturday but whatever🫨
We ended our trip with a dinner altogether with the members of our AirBnb and afterwards went our separate ways as to how we would spend our last evening in Barca. Amelie and I walked to the beach and just enjoyed the city and cycled back to the Airbnb many hours later.
So all in all, I really enjoyed my month in Barca and I am really glad I chose this city for my stay. I would recommend it to anyone who would ask me as I am much more independent now after living without my parents (not that I wasn’t independent but you get what I mean). It’s a great city with an even greater nightlife, trust me. I will for sure visit Barcelona again!!!
