Rui‘s Barcelona Diaries: Week 3

Hi everyone! To those of you who read my last week’s blog, you may know that everybody except me was sick in my Airbnb. Well, I think I jinxed it because on Sunday it got me as well, and I was part-time lying in bed.🤧 The sickness didn‘t stop me from doing and seeing new things in Barcelona, because I don‘t want to miss anything, right?

Apart from me being sick, I actually experienced a lot this week. For example, on the 13th of July, it was the annual Wimbledon final. As the match started pretty late, we went to eat good food before that, and we split into two groups: one for pizza and one for hotpot. After we finished our amazing meal with a great performance of the traditional Chinese dragon dance, we met up with the others in our apartment to watch the game. It was a really intense match because Alcaraz and Sinner were the finalists, and all of their games are really fun to watch!

We enjoy our leisure time as much as possible. Some days we spent our time on the beach or this week we visited the others by their pool. It is so refreshing going in the water in such hot and humid weather! Other days we just enjoy the nights in the city for instance in rooftopbars or restaurants.

About my work: I still don’t have much to do and basically just read during my working hours which is fine for me. It just gets boring sometimes🥸

Anyways, there are still a couple of fun things we plan to do, so look forward to my next and last blog!🕺🏻
