Rosa H: Barcelona Adventures: Sun, Sugar & Slight Chaos

I can’t believe I’m already writing my third blog – which also means it’s the second-last one. So, let’s make this one count! This week was full of new experiences and little adventures… at least for most of us. Sadly, Valentina has been really sick all week. She couldn’t go to work and also missed out on our afternoon plans. We all hope she feels better soon!

On Monday evening, I met Moritz and Alejandro (he’s visiting from Toulouse) at the beach. We played volleyball – or at least something that looked a bit like volleyball. Let’s just say, we had more laughs than points.

Tuesday evening was definitely a highlight. Together with Valentina and her parents (before she got too sick), I went on a tuk-tuk tour through Barcelona. The tour took two hours and showed us parts of the city I had never seen before – Montjuïc was my favourite. The view over Barcelona from up there is just fantastic! We also saw the Arc de Triomf and the famous Sagrada Família. Barcelona really has something magical.

On Wednesday, two friends from Mondsee came to visit – always nice to see familiar faces. On Thursday, Vanessa and I tried the famous TikTok browneria. Verdict? Good, but totally overrated.

Friday was back to the beach with Vanessa and Moritz – enjoying the sun and warm sea like real holiday pros.

And today’s big adventure: a day trip to Sitges! Cute town, great views, and a huge jewellery shop where we spent 45 minutes (sorry Moritz!). We came home tired but full of new impressions.
