Nico: Barcelona Nightlife | Week 2

This week started off with a rather uncommon Activity for Mondays: Clubbing.

The day before we were walking down the Olympic Port, until a Promoter suddenly approached us, I still don’t know how he did it but his sales skills were apparently so convincing that we bought tickets for the Opium Club on Monday. To prevent the inevitable lack of sleep I slept from 6pm to 11pm on Monday and then we headed out to the club, we still were not sure if we were scammed by the promoter. Fortunately everything turned out great, even though it was a Monday the queue was so long that a 2h wait is common, our skip the line tickets saved us from that misery. Nevertheless once we were in it was awesome, the club was completely packed and music was blasting from all sides. The downside of partying on a Monday is that you have to go to work a few hours after leaving the club. Pre-sleeping in the evening paid off as I somehow survived the workday and spend the next evening at the beach playing volleyball.

The rest of the work-week was just day to day life. Moritz celebrated his 18th birthday on Saturday, meaning we obviously had to go out and party with him, Alejandro even visited from Toulouse for that occasion. We spend the afternoon and evening celebrating and hanging out in our apartment, before went into to city center. As time went by we headed to Opium again and found ourselves in the club at around 0:30 a.m. Without going into detail you probably can imagine what the next day looked like. Summed up, I spend my second week in Barcelona partying and working, which I really enjoyed.
