After settling in during my first week, the second one felt even more like a real routine — but still full of new experiences and discoveries. Compared to last week, the weather was a bit more mixed. Some days were cloudy or windy, and we even had a bit of rain, which is not what I expected in Barcelona. Because of that, we didn’t spend as much time at the beach, but we still managed to play volleyball once or twice when the sun came out.
Work at Jungle Co-Working has started to feel really comfortable. The vibe is chilled and friendly, yet everyone stays on task, so productivity doesn’t get lost. I’ve had some nice conversations with co-workers, and it's interesting to meet people who work in completely different fields. What I really like is that I can focus well there – even when the place is quite full, it never feels too loud or stressful. I’m also getting used to the routine of working during the day and enjoying the city in the evenings.
A personal highlight of the week was seeing the new Formula 1 film at the cinema. I went there with some people from the 4AK and 4BK – and also with a few from my own class, 3BK. It was so much fun, and it felt really good to see some of my classmates again. We had a great time watching the film together and talking afterwards.
Another unforgettable moment was my trip to the Bunkers del Carmel. Even though the sky was covered with clouds that day, the view over Barcelona remained breathtaking. Up there, the atmosphere was really peaceful, so I stayed for a while, soaking in the calm and stillness. It felt like discovering a hidden gem, a secret place far away from the city’s noise and rush.
Altogether, this week felt less like being a tourist and more like living here for real. Even imperfect weather couldn’t dampen the mood; each day still offered something new to learn or enjoy. I’m settling in, little by little, and Barcelona is beginning to feel like home.
Let’s see what week three will bring!
