Lea: First Day at Work – On Segways Through Lisbon!

On Tuesday was officially our first day of work—and it honestly couldn’t have started any better! Patricia and I began our internship at Euro Segway Tours at 9:30 AM, and I was very excited. When we got there, everyone was super friendly, and the vibe was really relaxed.

The first thing we did was a Segway training session. I had never been on a Segway before, so I didn’t really know what to expect. But it turned out to be so much fun! We laughed so much while trying to get our balance at the beginning but surprisingly, we both learned it really quickly. After just a few minutes, we were driving around very confidently.

And the best part was that after the training, our boss David gave us a free tour of the city on the Segways! It was such a cool way to explore Lisbon—way faster than walking and way more fun. David told us lots of interesting stories about the city, and we saw so many beautiful places that I probably wouldn’t have found on my own.

The weather was perfect, the views were amazing, and I honestly had such a good time that I almost forgot it was a “work” day. I already feel like this internship is going to be something really special.
