Kübra: Week 2 in Barcelona

Week 2 in Barcelona has been both exhausting and full of fun. Especially after work, you want to see as much of the city as possible — after all, you’re here for only one month. At the same time, the cultural differences and the adaptation phase really start to hit in the second week. That’s when we began to embrace the well-known siesta after work. After a power nap of a few hours, we almost always went out again to explore more of what Barcelona has to offer.

My favorite part of this week, though, was the visit from Irem’s family — my friend who lives with me in the same Airbnb. Her entire family, plus her best friend and her best friend’s family, came to visit her and to see the city over the weekend. We showed them all the main sights during the few days they were here, and we had a lot of fun together.
