Irem: A typical day at work

Today, I’d like to tell you a bit about my typical working day.
My work starts at 9 a.m., but I don’t always get tasks right away. Most of the time, I have to wait between 30 minutes to an hour because my colleague needs some time to prepare all the documents for the day. We usually start with the registrations. We enter them into an Excel sheet and into “Kydemy” – a system where all the students and teachers are recorded. After entering the data, we check whether the courses have been assigned correctly. We also verify the payments made by the respective students. We often have to commute between two locations because the dance school has another studio. Over there, we were allowed to watch the final rehearsal for a theater play – it was really impressive.
In the past few days, we’ve been sorting the registration folders, which was quite exhausting because we also had to go through last year’s documents.
All in all, I’m very happy with my job and would definitely recommend it to others. However, I have to say that there are times when there’s nothing to do, so you just sit around waiting. Still, it’s been a great experience for me to get a behind-the-scenes look at how everything works.
