Little Mishaps Are Part of the Experience
Of course, not everything always goes according to plan.
For one of our social media posts, we wanted to write "HAK Works Abroad" in the sand. That turned out to be much more difficult than expected because every second wave washed our work away.
When we briefly turned around, an unexpectedly large wave suddenly caught us. Within seconds, we were standing ankle-deep in the water with completely soaked shoes and sand in our socks. At the time, it was quite frustrating—but looking back, it has become one of the funniest memories of the week.

From Calm to Chaos
Our Saturday started with a Yoga Flow session on the beach. The class was held half in Spanish and half in English, which led to plenty of funny moments. Besides the language barrier, we also had our fair share of left-right confusion and a few coordination challenges. Despite that, we had an amazing time, and it was the perfect way to start the day.
In the afternoon, we witnessed an accident on the beach. We won't reveal too much just yet, as we'll tell you more about it in our next blog post.

A Perfect Sunday
We ended our first week with a very special Sunday.
At five o'clock in the morning, we made our way up to Málaga's castle to watch the sunrise over the city. Getting up that early was definitely worth it.
After enjoying a long breakfast, we joined a guided city tour and learned many fascinating stories about Málaga. During the tour, we even watched the fire brigade rescue a seagull from a residential building—an experience none of us expected.
Afterwards, we visited the Museo de Málaga and the Roman Theatre before finishing the evening with a relaxing walk around the harbour.

Our Conclusion After One Week
Our first week in Málaga has been far more diverse than we ever imagined. Between our internship, beach days, new friendships, small mishaps, and exciting experiences, the time has flown by.
We've already learned that a trip doesn't have to be perfect to become unforgettable. In fact, it's often the unexpected moments that turn into the best memories.
One thing is certain: we can't wait to see what the next few weeks in Málaga have in store for us.
