Gabriela: My final days in Lisbon

Hi! I can't believe that four weeks have passed just like that! These four weeks in Portugal felt both fleeting and endless. In what seemed like just a few days, I experienced an incredible amount: new places, new faces, and countless moments that expanded my view of the world.

Beyond practicing my language skills, this journey was mostly about stepping out of my comfort zone. I ventured into a foreign country, not speaking a word portuguese, and with no family nearby. This leap of faith led me to meet people from different backgrounds, each conversation enriching my perspective.

Living in a new country and culture wasn’t just about observing; it was about immersing myself fully. I embraced local customs, tasted unfamiliar foods, and adapted to a different rhythm of life. Due to the fact that I visited so many diverse places, I got to see Lisbon from many different angles.

I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity. It wasn't just an internship; for me it was a life-changing experience. I would do it all over again, not only in Portugal but in any other country as well. Who knows, maybe next year I will do it again?

To anyone offered such a chance: seize it. It’s not just about gaining experience, but about personal growth and maturity. And that’s what truly matters in life later. Thanks for reading!
