Emily K. - Highlights from Seville

First of all, I have to say that the two weeks in Seville went by very quickly. I am a bit sad that we already have to leave, but I am going home with many new experiences and lots of beautiful pictures. In this blog post, I want to share the highlights of my stay so that you can be part of it too!

The first big highlight was the birthday of my friend Paula, who came here with me. It was an amazing day, and if you want to know more about it, you can read her blog post about that day!

Another highlight was our trip to Cádiz, which I wrote about in my previous blog post.

In my opinion, the best days were the ones when we simply walked around the city and enjoyed the beautiful streets, the architecture, and the culture. We tried many different dishes, such as tapas, pasta, paella, and tacos. Some of them tasted really good, but let's just say that I wasn't a fan of everything.

The funniest evenings were the ones when we watched the football matches. We often prepared some tasty snacks, like popcorn, and enjoyed the games together. The fact that Spain kept winning made it even more exciting. Whenever Spain scored a goal, the fans outside would start cheering loudly, which created an amazing atmosphere.

Another big part of our stay was our work experience. The company we worked for was great, and we often had the opportunity to work from home. This meant that we could stay up a little longer because we didn't have to worry about getting up early the next morning. Our tasks were always different, and one day we were even asked to go on a museum tour, which was paid for by the company. The tour was in Spanish, so we had the chance to improve our language skills. To be honest, it was a bit difficult to understand everything, but it was still very interesting to visit the museum.

In our free time, we tried to visit some of Seville's most popular places. We went to Plaza de España and took some great pictures there. The parks and the Cathedral of Seville were also incredibly beautiful.

On our days off, we went out for brunch twice, and that was one of my favourite activities. The first time, we visited a restaurant called Moya Brunch. They served some of the best pancakes I have ever eaten. The interior looked very aesthetic, and the food was beautifully presented. The second time, we went to Dodici, a restaurant we had found on TikTok. It was a small hidden place where we enjoyed a delicious bagel.

All in all, these two weeks in Seville were definitely worth it! If I ever get the chance to come here again, I will definitely take it. I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to improve their language skills or simply have an unforgettable time in another country.

I learned so much during these two weeks, and I will never forget this experience. Thank you for giving me this opportunity!
