¡Hola a todos!
This year is my third time doing an internship in Spain and the last time I can participate in the “Hak Works Abroad” project. Now two weeks have already passed since I arrived in Alicante and time has been flying.
I am working at “Escuela de Elcano”, a language school in the city centre, where I help with office tasks like welcoming and helping students, managing bookings and also designing Instagram stories for their social media page. Luckily, I don’t have a long commute to the school as I live in a shared apartment just a 10-minute walk away. Further, as I only work from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. I have plenty of time afterwards to enjoy the Spanish sunshine.
Food has become one of my favourite parts of living here. Thanks to recommendations of my colleagues, I have already tried some amazing restaurants and enjoyed a variety of tapas. Another highlight was my trip to the island Tabarca, where I enjoyed crystal-clear water but unfortunately it was really crowded there. A place to recharge my batteries was for me the park “El Palmeral” as you are surrounded by many huge palm trees, a waterfall and ponds where you can just sit and relax.
I am excited to see what the next weeks will bring.
¡Hasta la proxima!
Angelina
