Agnesa K.: Halfway through the month

This week has been way more relaxing than the other one. I know my way around because I’m familiar with the area now.

Every day after work we went for a walk along the beach or sightseeing and taking pictures. That was not really easy for us but we didn’t want to miss out on things and really take advantage out of this situation and make something good with it. We want to collect many memories with each other and not just stay at home and do nothing after an “exhausting” day at work.

Even if you were alone here in Barcelona you still wouldn’t feel alone because people here are really open in meeting new people and you get approached really often. My friends and I for example were casually sitting at the beach minding our own business when a sweet girl came over to us and asked us what we’re doing in Barcelona, how old we are and so on. That’s how we started a conversation and gained a new friend.

We also played volleyball a lot on the beach with more friends during the evening. We met up at 7 p.m. . If we wanted to go swimming before we would meet up a bit earlier, take a swim, play volleyball and repeat that multiple times until it was like 11 p.m. It was totally worth it. Even after being exhausted and going to work tired the next day we’d do it again (to motivate ourselves to play well we made the rule that the group that loses has to buy ice cream for everyone).

As you can see it can also be very cool, relaxing and not so complicated in Barcelona. The beginning is always a little bit hard because you’re disoriented and don’t know the place but with time you get used to it and it changes into the best time and memories you ever had.
