Florian: Goodbye Firenze

The fourth and final week of my internship in Florence has come to an end. During the week I worked as usual at the campsite and by now everything there felt familiar, and I felt much more confident than when I started. It was nice to see how much I had learned in these four weeks.

On the weekend we went back into the city one last time. We wanted to enjoy Florence properly before leaving walking through the streets visiting the famous sights again and saying goodbye to the places that had become part of our daily life.

Saying goodbye at the campsite was even harder than I expected. Everyone there had been so kind to us, and we really enjoyed every moment we spent there. We made memories had nice talks and felt very welcome. Leaving all these people behind was not so easy.

Now it is time to go back. We are taking the train home and in Bolzano we will be picked up by car for the last part of the journey.

This internship was a really great experience for me. I became more self-confident improved both my Italian and my English and learned a lot about working life. I am grateful for everything I experienced and even though I loved my time here I am also happy to finally be back home again.
