Alejandro. V: Why exactly Toulouse?

My colleague Adem and I have been asked many times why we chose Toulouse over Bordeaux, especially since last year's students chose the Bordeaux option.

For us, the decision was actually quite simple. We knew from the start that we wanted to spend our weekends travelling and exploring different parts of southern Europe. We already had a few places in mind, and Bordeaux was too far from most of them.

Toulouse, on the other hand, was a much better fit. It's known for its large student population, which was perfect for us because we were hoping to meet new people and make friends. Even better, it's only about 300 kilometres from Barcelona, one of the cities we really wanted to visit. Another good thing was how close the Mediterranean coast is. We spent the first weekend in the Nice area and Monaco, which were amazing days, and the second one in Barcelona, where we visited some friends.

Unfortunately, It will be a bit quieter this week because I came back from Spain feeling a bit sick. But the good news is I have more time to see some friends here, because there was not much time left over between work and travelling.
