Ciao ragazzi!
The second week comes to an end today and I can’t believe that the first half of our Erasmus+ journey is already over because it feels like yesterday that we arrived here.
At work everything is going well. Every single day we learn something new and we’re gaining a deeper understanding of the job and the work environment and it's exciting to see how quickly we’re improving. One thing I’ve especially noticed is how much more confident I’ve become when talking to clients. It’s getting easier and also more fun every day.
I use my free time to explore the city and all the things there are to see. In the evenings I also very often call my friends and talk to them on the phone. Additionally this weekend my family came to visit me for two days.
On Saturday, we decided to take a little excursion to the nearest beach. Since Florence isn’t located by the sea, we hopped on a train and travelled for about an hour and a half. Everything went smoothly and spending the day relaxing and swimming in the water was perfect.
The second day, on Sunday, I showed my family around in the city and we visited the most important spots of Florence. We also tried some food at the Mercato Centrale, which is a famous and very big food market in the city. In the evening they left again but it was very good to see them!
I’m grateful for everything I’ve experienced so far, and I’m excited to see what the second half of this journey will bring.
