I honestly don't know how time flew by so fast. Four weeks have already passed, and today is my last day at work. It feels strange to think that my Erasmus+ internship is already coming to an end. I wish I could remember every detail of the office, the building, and all the little moments that made this experience so special.
During the past four weeks, I visited many different places in Istanbul that I had never seen before. Even though I had spent many summer holidays here, I never had enough time to explore the city properly. This time, I discovered new neighbourhoods, beautiful viewpoints, and hidden corners that made me appreciate Istanbul even more.
One thing that has not changed is the traffic. No matter where you want to go, it usually takes more than an hour to get there. Luckily, there is one type of transport that I absolutely love: the ferry. I think it is amazing that so many people use it every day to get to work. Travelling across the Bosphorus with the sea all around you is something I will definitely miss.
What I will also remember is the atmosphere of this city. Istanbul never seems to sleep. No matter what time of the day, there are always people outside, cafés are full, and there is something happening everywhere. The people I met were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made me feel at home very quickly.
Looking back, I can honestly say that this Erasmus+ internship has been an unforgettable experience. I learned a lot, discovered a different side of a city I thought I already knew, and created memories that I will keep for a long time. If I could choose one thing, it would be to start this journey all over again.
